Q1  If I have a question or concerns, who might I call for assistance?

Q2  Has bidding for Project Journey concluded?

A Yes, bidding for Project Journey work has concluded. There are no additional subcontracting opportunities at this time.

Q3  If I would like to be considered for work on future Turner Projects, how should I proceed?

A   Turner Construction is always looking for new subcontracting interests. If you would like to be considered for future work it is imperative that you have completed the prequalification process.  Once you have completed the prequalification process, please send a note of interest, which includes your EIN, to Carolyn Ellison via email, cellison@tcco.com.

Q4  How long does it take to be pre-qualified by Turner Construction?

A   Subcontractors are asked to allow up to 30 days for consideration and review in the pre-qualification process. Please note that only applications with complete information may be considered.  No paper copies will be accepted.

Q5  How long does it take to get paid by Turner for completed work?

A    Turner has a “pay when paid “policy for completed work.  It is important to note that we do offer an accelerated payment program for a small fee which provides for payment, from a third party, before Turner gets paid by the project owner.  For more details on the Turner Accelerated Payment Program, please visit www.turnerconstruction.com/sub-contractors.

Q6  If I would like to be considered for work on a Turner project but have a small firm, is it possible to work as a second or third tier subcontractor with another subcontractor?

   Yes, it is indeed possible and encouraged for firms to partner with a prime subcontractor. Please visit our Matchmaking section to identify and contact potential firms to work with.

Q7  If I have a question about the MWAA LDBE certification, who do I contact?

A    For questions regarding the LDBE application, please visit the LDBE Certification site at http://www.mwaa.com/business/department-supplier-diversity-dsd-1  and/or contact MWAA’s Department of Supplier Diversity at 703-417-8625.

Q8  How long does it take to acquire MWAA LDBE certification once the application is submitted?

A    The established timeline is 30 days from receipt of the completed application and mandatory accompanying documents.

Q9  What are the small business size standards for firms applying for MWAA LDBE certification?

A    MWAA utilizes the US Small Business Administration (SBA) Size Standards for determining LDBE eligibility. The SBA has established small business size standards for the industry codes within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS); therefore the size standard varies based on the type of business.

Q10 If my firm is located and licensed in a state other than Virginia; do I need a Virginia Contractors License to perform work on Reagan National airport projects?

A     Yes, Virginia state law requires anyone engaging in contracting work to obtain a Contractor’s License from the Virginia Board for Contractors http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/Boards/Contractors/
